Guido Porro

A family with deep roots in Serralunga

The winery Guido Porro is a family as well as a group of people who have been promoting with passion the terroir of the Barolo area for five generations, thanks to the cultivation of the best crus of the area.

This story was written at the foot of the majestic medieval castle of the village, which overlooks a valley surrounded by south-western exposed hills dedicated to the cultivation of Nebbiolo for Barolo, which finds a unique microclimate in the area. The Winery Guido Porro has always believed in the potential of these wines, starting to sell wine by the liter and introducing the first bottled wine in the 80es, which made the winery brand popular.

Giovanni handed down the winery management to his son Guido in 1996, which focused on the quality of Barolo and the Langa wines: Barbera, Dolcetto d'Alba and Langhe Nebbiolo, red wines with great personality, produced by a soil which is rich in limestone, clay and nutritional elements.

Eight hectares of vineyards located in Serralunga d’Alba, cultivated with passion, respecting tradition and manual work combined with the non-invasive technologies applied by Guido Porro. This philosophy has conquered several markets over the years; today the winery sells especially to the United States and Northern Europe, as well as to Hong Kong and Tokyo.
